Cavers Banat annual meeting – 24-25.11.2018, ORAVIŢA

During 24-25.11.2018 held the ,,Banat annual meeting of speleologists”, fifteenth edition, organized by the Association of Speleological Speo-Caras Oraviţa in collaboration with the City Hall and the Old Theater” Mihai Eminescu “Oraviţa.

The Banat’cavers togheter with the participants discussed the projects and caving events made in 2018 and presented the work results of participating caving associations. There were thematic photographs representing formations inside the caves and in the second part of the action were presented films and slides reflecting the actual work on field of speleologists.

From the project, Mr. Joseph Morac, presented the progress of the project and spoke about the necessity to realize conservation activities and protection of caves and bats. Mr Mircea Jumanca and Virgil Jumanca disseminated informative flyers and brochure “How to protect caves and bats”.

In the scientific session of the cavers held open discussions on project activities and the need for conservation of caves at national, regional and local levels.
