On the first day, there were a series of events in downtown Tismana, in the public square, in front of Town Hall and the local school. Local school students have made layouts, designs exhibitions, and have a nice artistic folk. Were organized exhibitions, sale of products, from raw, cooked or baked chestnuts and traditional objects of this area .

In the opening ceremony, spoke specialists from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests, the CEO Gorj EPA, representatives of public authorities and associated partners.

In the workshop, Project Manager Ms. Elizabeth Juveloiu summarized the status of implementation of project activities, stressing the need for implementation of the action to protect habitat 9260 – Castanea sativa. It attended by specialists from other EPA agencies – Caras-Severin, Timiş, Teleorman, Gorj, etc. who presented the results of technical and implementation stages of their LIFE projects.

The second day was dedicate to moving the field to observe biological treatment applied to chestnuts and results, were visited the information points and campsites achieved by the project.
